Mother and baby
Research Stream 1: Families with young children

Stream 1’s ‘Growing Healthy’ program is developing and testing the feasibility a mobile telephone app and website for mothers with babies younger than nine months.

Research Stream 2: Disadvantaged populations

Stream 2's Better Management of Weight in General Practice (BMWGP) is a trial aimed to design and evaluate a multi-level intervention for obese patients with low health literacy attending primary health care.

guidelines
Research Stream 3: Implementation of obesity management guidelines

Stream 3 will explore the barriers to the implementation of the NHMRC obesity guidelines, including the cost effectiveness of implementation and referral options including surgical intervening implemented for obese patients in PHC.
